I am too excited. At about 10:30ish Shan came in to say that the software for the Linksys that she could not get to work when we first got here loaded. Bless her she's been working on it all evening.
So we loaded my software on my computer for my wireless adapter and lo and behold it worked!!!
I am so happy. Now I can do stuff. I can sit at my own desk, in my own chair at all times and do stuff. Yes, I am a spoiled middle aged woman and like things to be my way. I know this - been this way for a while now.
But thank you Shan for making your computer available to me while we worked out the kinks.

I used to live in a cage with a door. It kept me in but I also used it to keep people out. I didn't realize that until recently. So as part of the process of me coming out I am also letting people in. So whether anyone should ever read my thoughts as I put them in writing, for me to do this blog is my way of letting me out and you in. That's why I call it Open Door. My point is to push my door open wider than it has ever been both for myself to go out and for others to come in.

All matters have an explanation, but the issues are so complex that you could never fully grasp their significance. God’s plan for each and every individual is so vast, so interwoven with so many lives, all that is past and present and with so many options and alternatives, that no computer in the universe could track the eternal dimensions of what happens in time.When tragic things happen to people because of the evil or fallen nature of this world, their family and friends have the choice of succumbing to bitterness or growing in grace. Ultimately, the issue is not what you can understand and explain even to yourself, but your capacity to believe in the sovereignty of our heavenly Father.
Remember not to measure events by your standards of justice, but leave the consequences to be tried by grace.

God Works in the Dark
"The Lord caused the sea to go back ... all that night.''
In this verse there is a comforting message showing how God works in the dark. The real work of God for the children of Israel, was not when they awakened and found that they could get over the Red Sea; but it was ''all that night.''
So there may be a great working in your life when it all seems dark and you cannot see or trace, but yet God is working. Just as truly did He work ''all that night,'' as all that day. The next day simply manifested what God had done during the night. Is there anyone reading these lines who may have gotten to a place where it seems dark? You believe to see, but you are not seeing. In your life-progress there is not constant victory; the daily, undisturbed communion is not there, and all seems dark.
