This has been a bit of a strange journey for Larry since he has been following my lead this time rather than the other way around. It was interesting to me that my coming off the bridge had to do with finding our place to live. Larry didn't feel that he had come off the bridge yet though. Larry's "settling down" has to do with finding his work.
Yes, he has found his place - an opportunity to go into business for himself. And....it's not construction.
When we were still in KC and Larry was looking on the internet for jobs, he felt the Lord say to him, "Do you want one of these or do you want what I have for you?". He shut down his search at that moment and left it alone. Several months later - after I had moved to Dallas - he looked again and heard the same question. So he shut it down again.
While he was still there two of his friends told him he should look into this particular tile and grout cleaning company. He did I think, but nothing came of that. Then somehow - and I don't even know how except that he's always looking at stuff on the internet, following up on things he's seen on TV or somewhere - he came across a tile and grout cleaning company called "The Master's Touch".
For a few months now he's been researching this and talking with them on the phone - weighing out the risks (because there are always risks when you go into business for your self) and balancing them with the possible rewards. Most of all though, he's been searching his own heart to see whether he wanted to go down that road or not. He's been there several times. And yes, there are many rewards to being your own boss - but that comes with some very specific headaches and yes, again, risks.
But it just kept heading that way and he kept being drawn that way. God never has jumped in the middle of all this with a banner that said THIS IS IT or anything like that. Really he just has over and over asked Larry "What do you want to do?". So I guess the desire of Larry's heart proves to be that he really does want the rewards and is willing to take the risks.
Me too. And yes - even though I'm not doing the work I share the risks and so also the rewards.
This again is not what I prophesied back in KC. Noooo. Larry was going to have a JOB before we even moved down here. LOL AND we were going to find a house first too.
Nope - nothing has worked out in the way that my soul would have done it. But my spirit is always at peace that everything is as it should be.
So this week he's back in the saddle, so to speak, getting the legalities in order. In a couple of weeks he goes to Phoenix, AZ to train on this system and then it's onward!
Go Honey!!
