Waiting with God

So have you ever thought about the difference between waiting WITH God and waiting ON God?
There is a difference and one will give you peace if you can really acheive it and the other will feed your anxiety. God dropped this into Larry's heart some time ago -maybe a year or so - and we've been working on the full understanding of it ever since.

You know, just because God gives you a revelation of something that doesn't mean that you have the full understanding of it or that you have the ability to actually walk it out.

And now we really are having to walk this out. This morning we were talking about this journey, this transition, and where we are in it. We are certainly in agreement with the idea of waiting with God but when we say things about the job I need or the possibility of him looking for a job or MONEY! then we know we are not truly waiting with him. Those are expressions of the places of anxiety within us. When we pray we feel assurance. When we read a blessing from The Blessing Book each night we feel assurance. But then when we are involved in the day to day walk of it, facing the obstacles, then the assurance fades and we think "if only" type thoughts.

"If only" is a thought process that does not come from God. "If only" is the expression of anxiousness. So we must allow Father to transform us in this area so that resting in God is not what we do but it is what we are.

So... like I said... if nothing is happening does that mean nothing is happening? No, sometimes buttons are being pushed so that we can understand things about ourselves that Father already knows.
