Pinch Me

It's Friday and my 5th day at my new job and I keep waiting for the shoe to drop or for somebody to wake me up. Actually - no - I don't want that to happen. I'm just still a little amazed at how Father has positioned me. Little things like the chair I got that's actually good for my back and the fact that my space is off the beaten path. Yesterday I got sleepy (not a good thing when you're looking at numbers) so I turned my chair with the back to the door, propped my feet up and took me a power nap for my break time. So many small things that add up. And the people so far are great - I mean really. And the company is very focused on it's employees. It seems that when someone comes to work the group they work with get to take him/her to lunch and when they leave and sometimes they take someone to lunch on their birthday. Today some of the "ladies up front" are taking me to lunch - I think this is them not the company.

So I've landed in a really good place to do some work and work is still work so I'm not expecting utopia here I just really glad for all the amenities that God deemed important.

It's definitely a big money place but you really can't tell it. I think even the president wears shorts to work. I haven't actually seen him yet.

Yep - it's nice. But I've got a feeling that toward the end of next week it's gonna get really busy as the statements start pouring is. I've been reconciling a few statements this week and some are very easy. I'm in the middle of one that is not being so easy so I guess some of them aren't. Yesterday I learned of the treachery of the software the company uses. I had check off about 400 checks and the software locked up on me. Nothing to do but close it and start over!!!!! My supervisor said it happened to her with a 2000 check statement once. EEEEEEK!!!!!!

But like I said - not utopia.

However.....

My office is painted a very light yellow.
