One Week Left

It's Monday morning and I have one week left here in KC. Next Saturday we will load the "stuff" by which I function in this world into our vehicles, make the trek to Dallas and deposit me at my daughters house. Yes, folks, that would be rain or shine. My hubby will remain here only as long as he must to close things out here and I will find a job and search for us a house while I'm waiting. The only timetable we have on this process is knowing that the people who want to buy our house want to move in at the end of May. So we started out thinking that the process of getting to Dallas could take a year even but since Father intervened it has shortened considerably.
Yes, I'm excited. I'm going home.
I have things to do here still this week. Not much packing. I've packed pretty much all I can but Larry will still be here so we wanted to leave things looking pretty normal and didn't want him to have to search for boxes for something he might need. I did get the family history stuff organized and consolidated the way I wanted to. That's a happy thing. But the pictures...... I'm still scanning pictures and will be doing that long after this I'm sure. Should have thought of this a loooonnnng time ago.
Here's a fun pic of me and my brothers that I haven't seen in a long time. From left to right there's Keith (oldest), Tim (youngest), me, and Neil. This would be 1960 I think since Tim is a baby in arms. Keith would have been 9 years old I think. Dear Mom. I think she was probably very grateful for large outdoor spaces for us to play in.

There are people to see yet before I go and I want to talk some about the people who have become a part of us here but I think I'll make that tomorrow's post because I think there will be a lot to say there.
I must get to work now - taking care of today.
